So, Niki and Melissa were willing to brave the cold weather and go up north in January. It was one of those cold, cold weekends. Lets just say that I was nervous about the pipes freezing and my car stalling. We lucked out. It was such a nice, relaxing time. We stopped for dinner on the way up and started a fire in the fireplace right away.
Good food and conversation - Niki just finished up at her old job and had a week off before starting at Regions hospital. I revealed my decision to leave CIGNA for a good opportunity at Medica. They were so helpful in letting me process the whole thing (it all happened so fast). We went to the hardware store and the movies. The same guy was working at both places. That's small town MN for you. We were the only patrons at the bar, but enjoyed the darts and shuffleboard (which brought me back to my days in Colorado when we played shuffleboard almost every weekend at the college gameroom). The heater (furnace) in our cabin would kick in at random times. Niki thought she would take advantage of it!
