Cowgirls

Theme for Kaitlin's bachelorette party = Cowgirl. One of her friends added some creativity to her outfit. Very cute! We played games on the lawn and had some good laughs at the gifts. This was one of the best penis cakes I've seen, although I did love when Erin cut into the cream filling! Oh, the things we do for our brides! Glad I could be there to support them.

Chino Latino

We had a great time with Erin for her bachelorette party! The night started out with games and drinks, followed by dinner at Chino Latino. We barely made it after dinner to Cowboy Slims in Uptown before it started pouring rain. Pappas supplied the purple party wigs. Very festive! It was super fun to have a night with the girls to celebrate Erin!

TED

Someone asked me at work today what I did last night - It was fun to talk about a wonderful evening at Red Stag. I then went on to tell her about how I got home at midnight and decided to watch TED talks! I'm such a dork. Luckily the person I was speaking to has some interest in these big ideas! If you've never heard....

TED is a small nonprofit devoted to Ideas Worth Spreading. It started out (in 1984) as a conference bringing together people from three worlds: Technology, Entertainment, Design.

So, the Miami girls thought of this fabulous idea to create a video diary of our lives to help each other get a glimpse of where we live, work, etc. I'm super excited. One of my goals for the year is to post a video on YouTube...I'm well on my way.

These group photos are always so fun. I think we enjoy the process just as much as the outcome. I think we did a pyramid several years ago. Had to give that a try again!


Shocking! The many stories about pregnancy and wide array of changes to the female body were quite fascinating to Amy and us all.

Um yeah, lets talk about the breast pump too. Nice tutorial Kate. I just had to look away.

Kelly seemed a little proud of her sunburn. Pretty hilarious considering she was given the lecture by Kelly and Amy about not using enough SPF. I've never seen such thorough application of the sunscreen...and then there are those of us who just enjoy the burn!

The cottage

MGW 2009

Had an blast in Michigan at the cottage with the girls. It was fun to talk about all our weekends together - every summer for the last 12 years. I loved catching up with everyone. Molly is such a cute little baby...so great to have her around. We celebrated with our 30th BIRTHDAY cupcakes!

Michigan Sun

On the boat near the pier. It was a windy ride to Lake Michigan. The girls wanted to enjoy the waves, so I caved and held on tight as Kate navigated over some rough water. Lots of laughs!
