Miami Girls Weekend 2010

Last minute plans for Miami Girls Weekend resulted in a trip to the Richardson cottage at Spring Lake, MI. My boss and I presented at the National Wellness Conference in Wisconsin during the week and then my mom picked me up and we drove from there via Chicago to Lake Michigan. It was a good weekend overall! Weather was hit or miss and we had a wonderful time catching up. Kelly brought her kids, Brock and Skyler. Kate juggled her parenting role with host for all of us...and Maggie came with little Libby. My mom enjoyed seeing the cottage and the place where many memories happen for us college friends. Cabin Time

It's always good to be up north MN during the summer - especially when the weekends involve spending time with family and good friends. We had a nice 4th of July up there. My parents, my cousin Todd and his mom, and my brother Ben were at the cabin. I went up again in mid-July with Scott and Erin. It was fun to relax and they enjoyed many hours of fishing. My mom went with and actually caught a fish! Ally, Brandon, Heimarks and the kids were staying at the camp too. It was great to watch Nolan fish and I think all of us got to be kids again by playing field games near the playground! Gotta love teatherball...

Lake Calhoun - Paddleboarding

Some friends were adventurous at Lake Calhoun this summer - trying out the new PaddleBoard experience. Looks like fun - It worked just fine for me to be behind the camera on this excursion.
