Miami Girls Weekend

I rented a car and drove to Spring Lake, MI for another Miami Girls Weekend. Kelly and Amy decided to fly. It was quite the experience for Kel - cancellations and luggage mishaps. She handled things very well.


Kate was in her glory with her nieces at the cottage.


One of the first things we did was take the boat over to the Lemays new house on the lake. We had the full tour! They have such a beautiful home.

The ride home was a little murky. We got stuck in the shallow water, so I was nominated to get in the lake to pull us out!

Soccer in the Sand

We went to the beach for a soccer tournament, hosted by the Lemay boys. It was such a cool event. Kate and her sister Nicole played in a few games and her brother Dave was on a team too.
The Richardsons were out there to cheer! It was a fun afternoon. Kate was working pretty hard on the "field"

Girl Time

We went and had our nails done at a place in town where they were having a fundraiser and then spent time at the cottage with all the little ones.

Kate's sister in-law, Meredith. She definately has her hands full with three little girls. They are so adorable!

Spending time in the Kitchen. We played a new game called "Snatch" and another one from the Cranium series called "whoonu?" It was great to relax and be together.

The cottage

It is always fun to be at the cottage, where the Miami Girls Weekends originated. We spent some time on dock and the girls lounged in this three person tube. It is always good to catch up with each other...no matter where we are.

It was raining when we left, and we had the biggest umbrella!

Skiing

On our last day, the lake was perfectly still. It was great weather for a ski. My arms were pretty sore the next day!

There is nothing better than having your feet hang off the end of the dock!

Sunset

People often say "no looking back". I think this is sometimes true, but then there are those instances when you get a glimpse of what is behind you and it is absolutely magnificant.

We spent a lot of time talking about good memories from our college years and all the Miami Girls Weekends we've had since then...and of course, planning the next adventure. Thanks for a good time, girls!!!
