Baby Shower

I had a fun time with great friends on a chilly Sunday in December...I was lucky enough to stay home and people came to my place for a baby shower (x2). The food was amazing and such fun gifts. I'm truly blessed.

Blizzard

Crazy winter storm in MN. It just kept snowing...and snowing...and snowing! The winds were severe too, causing huge drifts. Now there is an incredible pile of snow at the end of my driveway. Luckily my dad helped clear the sidewalk for the baby shower. He is such a hard worker - lucky to have his help!

Christmas decorations

I decided not to get a tree yet - it will be fun to do next year with the baby! For now, I picked up a poinsettia and some garland for the fireplace. It is really cozy and nice - looking forward to calm, quiet holiday season.

Baby bump

I have no one to take pictures of my growing belly, so here is an attempt to capture the growth. It has been a wonderful experience - I really love being pregnant. So far...

Moving in

In October, I moved to a townhouse in Chanhassen. It took quite some time to adjust to the new location and get everything situated. I'm on the end unit too, which gives me great light and what feels like tons of space. There is a nice grassy knoll right outside my patio too, which will be fun once the baby is here. For friends and family who have not seen the place, I thought it might be good to post some pictures.

The crib assembly was a major task, but I felt proud of the accomplishment when all was said and done. I think the nursery is looking pretty good overall.

Baby Shower

My mom's friends had a wonderful baby shower for us in September. They planned for lots of great food and fun! It was nice to spend time together on a beautiful fall day! I was reminded of how blessed my family is to be connected with such kind, loving people. Many THANKS to those who offered their support and shared words of encouragement with me that day...

Gifts and Games

It wouldn't be a baby shower without a couple of games! Here is the famous "guess which candy bar" appears in the diaper. Is this supposed to prepare me somehow for the duties that lie ahead? Oh boy, I'm in for a treat!
