Mom's Birthday
My mom turned 60 in February! She deserved a decent celebration after a hard couple of weeks (my uncle passed away at the beginning of the month). Her friends surprised her for lunch and our family got together for dinner on the actual day. We went to Pittsburgh Blue steakhouse in Maple Grove. It was delicious! My dad gave her a gorgeous ring - an amethyst from Greece. The thing is huge. The rest of us decided to get her a new best friend. Meet Penny! She looks so much like our old yellow lab. Penny is a lab/retriever mix that needed to be rescued. Things are great so far!
